Some moments force us to choose. Stay the same or do the deep work that changes everything. Kelly Chase chose the latter after being on the hit reality show Love Is Blind. Her journey moves from public scrutiny to radical self-healing, and the lessons she shares are practical, fierce, and rooted in lived experience.

When the experiment became personal

The social experiment that brought Kelly into the spotlight tested whether emotional connection can form with limited sensory input. The premise was simple: people spoke to one another without seeing each other, formed emotional bonds, and in some cases got engaged. What became clear through Kelly's experience is how quickly an intimate emotional connection can surface, and how intensely the transition to physical life together can amplify unresolved wounds.

Stepping into intense, curated emotion day after day forces old stories to the surface. Kelly describes crying during routine interviews because topics production raised brought up past trauma. Those moments did more than create television drama. They catalyzed a full throttle dive into healing and personal development.

When the narrative on screen was not the whole truth

Televised narratives have power. Editors make choices and a single storyline can define how millions perceive a person. Kelly experienced a harsh example of that: an edit framed her in a way that prompted widespread criticism and abuse online. The emotional fallout was real.

"They created this narrative of me. It made me feel like I had to prove myself to people."

Her reflection is a reminder that public perception rarely equals private truth. It is also a call to action for better mental health safeguards for people who become public figures, and for audience members to practice empathy before assuming they know the whole story.

The turning point - choosing growth over autopilot

Kelly’s life before the transformation looked familiar to many. She was successful on paper, moving through corporate life and later training as a health coach. Underneath, however, was a pattern of people pleasing, dissociation from pleasure, and unresolved trauma from early adulthood.

That trauma included controlling and violent behavior from a past partner. Therapy options at the time felt inadequate, and years of autopilot living followed. The turning point came when she decided to invest in coaching and personal development. That investment changed the way she understood her beliefs about relationships, money, and worth.

"I want women to have their power back."

Powerful tools that moved the needle

Kelly’s toolbox now includes somatic practices, breathwork, and trauma-informed modalities. These are not abstract therapies; they are methods that create measurable shifts in how a person feels, responds, and shows up.

  • Tri-active breathwork - Rapid, intentional breathing that drops you into the body and can release blocked emotions. Kelly describes sessions where she emerged drenched in sweat and profoundly lighter emotionally.

  • EMDR - Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, which can produce the same transformational release as somatic modalities for some people.

  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) - Tapping to interrupt and rewire emotional triggers and limiting beliefs.

  • Somatic and nervous system regulation - Practices that retrain the body to stop responding from survival patterns and instead access calm, clear decision making.

These tools work together to increase what Kelly calls capacity. Greater capacity means the ability to hold more love, more money, and more responsibility without fear or self-sabotage.

Money mindset - changing stories to change outcomes

One of the most underrated parts of personal evolution is rewriting your money story. Kelly discovered limiting beliefs about wealth that traced back to childhood stories and cultural associations. She found that beneath surface desires for financial freedom were subconscious narratives that said rich people are unkind or that money corrupts.

Working to reframe these beliefs and to build the emotional capacity to hold wealth became central. The practical result is a shift toward building scalable online offerings and high-ticket services, designed to create both impact and freedom.

Coaching with a wide lens - identity and entrepreneurship

Kelly’s coaching reflects her own evolution. It blends identity work, money mindset, and practical business strategy. Instead of prescribing one narrow niche, she helps clients step into an expanded identity: the person who runs a soul-led business, builds generational wealth, and sustains emotionally healthy relationships.

Her approach includes:

  • Uncovering limiting beliefs that block growth

  • Designing high-ticket offers and digital products

  • Combining somatic work with strategic business development

  • Community events and retreats to rebuild in person connection

How to start shifting today

Not sure where to begin? Begin where life feels stuck. Here are simple, practical steps inspired by Kelly’s journey.

  1. Notice one recurring story you tell yourself about love, worth, or money. Write it down. Ask what evidence supports it and what evidence contradicts it.

  2. Try a short breathwork session for 10 minutes. Focus on diaphragmatic breathing and notice what emotion surfaces. Allow it to move without judgment.

  3. Tap once on a limiting belief with EFT. Use a simple phrase like I am open to feeling safe with money and repeat while tapping.

  4. Take one visible action toward an entrepreneurial idea. Draft a one-page outline of a course or a simple lead magnet to test demand.

  5. Seek trauma-informed support if past experiences are active in your life. Therapists and coaches who understand somatic work will help you stay regulated while healing.

Healing is not linear and it is not a private luxury. It is the foundation for how we love, earn, and lead. Choosing to look inward, to rewrite the stories that hold you back, and to build the capacity to receive more are radical acts. Kelly’s path from being shaped by public narratives to designing a life of purpose and power shows that reclaiming your story is possible. There is a practical roadmap and there are concrete tools to get you there. The next step is yours.
